SMOKE CONCERT.

In the evening a smoke concert was held in 'the Congregational schoolroom, Ferry Eoad. There was a good attendance, and a pleasant evening was spent; the Captain, Mr A. J. Marshall, presided. The following toasts were honoured: — "The Queen;" "The League of Wheelmen," proposed by Mr T. Beed, responded to by Mr G. Lethaby; "The Visitors and the One-mile Champion," proposed by Mr P. F. G. Mumford, resp6nded to by Mr T. Clarkson ; "The Officials," proposed by M. W. H. Trengrove, responded to by Messrs H. Brake, T. Eeed, Seirakowski and H. Hoffman ; "The Competitors," proposed by Mr Lethaby, responded to by Messrs Trengrove and Archer; and "The Press," proposed by Mr Vizer. A number of songs and recitations were rendered during the evening, and Mr Foley contributed a ventriloquial performance.
