POMAHAKA.
One of the settlers at Pomahaka, writing to the Southern Standard says:—Notwithstanding the tempestuous storm that has recently been raging in and around Pomahaka, the various crops are looking excellent. Harvest, however, will not be general for ten days or so. The turnips are now coming away; blanks are filling up, and give strong evidence of an abundant supply of winter feed. Taking everything into consideration, Pomahaka, as far as its growing capacity is concerned, cannot by any means be put down as a failure.
