OBITUARY.
The Manawatu Standard says:— W< sincerely regret to record the death, ftt th< age of seventy-two years, of Mrs Mont goniery, widow of Mr Henry Montgomery, a well-known settler of Wanganui, anc sister-in-law of the Hon W. Montgomery M.Tj ; C. The deceased lady, who was living with her daughter, Mrs Copelund, of Broac Street, wa3 attacked with influenza abonl two weeks at'o, bus no immediate dangei wa9 feared until early one morning when, despite every attention, she became very weak and died from failure of the heart's action. Mrs J'ontgomery had resided many years in W;inganui, where a large circle of friends will grieve to hear of her death. Mrs Montgomery lfavea to mouru their losi two daughters' (Miu Copeland, of Palmerstou North, and Mrs Moore of Wanganui), and one aon (Mr W. Montgomery), as well aa a number of grandchildren.
