INDIGESTION-ITS RAVAGES AND CURE.

(Prom the " Peak Hill Times.") Mr F. Carr has been a resident of the town of Peak Hill for a period of nine years. For the greater portion of that time he followed the occupation of a miner, until he met with a dynamite accident whilst working in the " Carrington Mine." He was a strong, active man, able to do a day's work without feeling the least fatigue whatever. After he had recovered from the effects of the explosion he tried to follow his previous occupation, but found j I

that it was impossible, and so he was forced to seek some other means of earning a living, and, trying many different callings, finally took up that of night watchman, at which he has been constantly engaged for the last couple of years. He says: —" About eight months ago I became subject to severe pains and loss of appetite, and feeling as though it were a trouble to move. These pains increased in such a way that I found myself complaining to my friends and acquaintances, who were jof opinion that indigestion was the cause. I tried first one medicine then another, until I believe I had pretty well sampled all the chemicals in the drug shop. But these were of no avail; the drugs went but the pains increased and became so bad that I j was commencing to think there was no j hope of even relief, and that I should soon know the ' grand secret.' I could not follow my occupation, and was forced to give in. I'had noticed in the 'Peak Hill Times' on .several occasions accounts of wonderful cures effected by. Dr Williams' Pink Pills, so I determined to try them, and mentioned my intentions to a few who came to see me, and they informed me of others in town whom they had benefited, although not suffering exactly the same as myself. This information encouraged me, and I felt a bit brighter, as there seemed a ray of hope left yet. I can assure you I did not -allow much time to elapse before I despatched a messenger to the chemist's and* procured a box. I took these regularly, and in nine or ten days there was no possible doubt whatever but that they were doing me good. I was commencing to look for my meals before the meal hour would arrive, and able to cet out of bed and lounge around the house. I continued taking the pills, and as soon as one box was empty I'd get another, and in the course of a few weeks I was able to walk up town. Besides the return of strength and desire for nourishment, I was very much pleased to find that the pains had nearly ! ' • | i | 1 I i ; ! I ! ; ; ' ' i j

all gone. But I was doomed to further misery and disappointment, as in a little while my feet began to swell, which gradually increased until they seemed ready to burst. The swelling extended up the leg nearly as far as the knee. My walking about was again stopped, and to

going down, and did so quickly. From that out my recovery was certain, and it was not many weeks before I took up my occupation as • guardian of the town during the hours of sleep,' and I am happy to say that I am aa good and as strong a man as I ever was in my life, thanks to Dr Williams' Pink Pills, and I strongly recommend them to any person who iuay be suffering from inward complaints, and are in search of a genuine medicine. — F. all appearances I was going to pass through another time of suffering. This was probably due to my having taken too much exercise, after being so long invalided. However, I continued with Dr Williams' Pink Pills, and by the time I had completed the third box the swelling started
