ORANGEISM.
The monthly meeting of No. 2 Purple Star Lodge was held in the Orange Hall, Christchurch, on Tuesday evening. The W.M., Bro W Bultitude, presided, and was supported by P.G.M. Bros J. Anderson and J. M Douglass, G.S. Bro Caygill, D.M.'s Bros J W Diffin, J. Hanna and G. E. Taylor, and officers from Lodges Nos. 3, 4, 32, 33 and 36. There was a very large attendance of members and visitors. After the routine part of the business had been disposed of, one member was received by clearance and two were initiated into £he Orange Degree. The delegates reported on tho business of the last Grand Lodge meeting, and received a hearty vote of thanks"for their services. A member of the order from H.M.S. Mildnra gave an interesting report of the various lodges that he had been enabled to visit during his travels, and convoyed fraternal greetings from several. Votes of thanks were passed to the visitors, and an adjournment was made to the supper-room, where, after two hours of harmony, a most pleasant meeting as brought to a close with the singing" of " God Save the Queen."
