ODDFELLOWSHIP.

The Loyal City of Christchurch Lodge, 4602, 1.0.0. F., M.U., held its yearly meeting on Wednesday. There was a large attendance of members and visitors, and the N.G., Bro T. "Wood, presided. After the sick fund business and correspondence (of which there was a large amount) had been dealt with, P.G. Bro H. E. Robbins, on behalf o£ the Chairman of the Hall ; Committee, submitted, the committee's annual report, which was adopted. The election of oificers for the ensuing term was then proceeded with, and resulted as follows;— N.G., V.G. Bro & Pearce; V.G., Bro C. H. Gorton; E.S., Bro E. Winter ; V.S-, Bro E. Cliffe; auditor, Bro R. Winter (re-elected) ; hall committee, P.P.G.M. Bro J. Guntrip and P.G. Bro K. Winter (reelected). The newly-elect-ed officers were duly installed in their respective offices, P.P.G.M. Bro T. Kent and P.G. Bro A. W. Amos acting as conductors. The receipts were .£305 8s 4d. The half-yearly meeting of the Loyal Volunteer Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held in the Mission Hall, Sydenham, on Wednesday. There was a large attendance of members, and a good deal of business was transacted. The following officers were duly elected for the ensuing term :— N.G., Bio Treadwell ; V.G., Bro Ambrose ; E.S., Bro Schmidt; R.S. to N.G., Bro Merriman; L.S. to N.G., Bro Midgley ; E.S. to V.G., Bro Veitch ; L.S. to V.G., P.G. Bro Spicer ; auditors, Bros Bartrain and Schmidt. Two new members were proposed. The usual sentiments were given, and the Lodge was closed in due form. The receipts for the evening were £90. The yearly summoned meeting of the Loyal Amberley Lodge was held on Tuesday, when there was a good attendance of members, and the N.G., Bro J. O. Anstiss, presided. The following members were elected as officers for the ensuing term : — N.G., Bro Cuckow; V.G., Bro E. Dalziel; E.S., Bro A. Wornall ; treasurer, P.G. Bro Weeber; E.S. to N.G., Bro Brizley; K.S. to V.G., Bro G. Wornall; L.S. to N.G., P.G. Bro Hale; L.S. to V.G., Bro T. Chamberlain ; warden, P.G. Bro J. Smith ; guardian, Bro R. Wornall ; P.G. Bro R. E. Wornall and Bro E. Dalziel were elected auditors. It was resolved that P.G. Bro J. Smith's name should be placed on the merit board, and that he should receive a framed certificate of merit. The receipts for the evening were .£53 13s 6d, and the expenditure was .£lB 13s 7d. The Loyal Leeston Lodge of Oddfellows, 1.0.0. F., M.U., held its half-yearly meeting on Monday, when P.G. Bro J. M'Vinnie acted as N.G. Correspondence of a routine nature was disposed of. It was reported that three brethern required the sick benefits, and ' that two were able to resume their usual avocations. A new member was initiated. The three sentiments of the evening were duly honoured, and Bros A. Belcher and J. Bray responded for the visiting brethren. The following were elected to fill tho various positions of the Lodge for the ensuing term : — N.G., Bro James Quigley ; V.G., Bro A. Greenwood; G.M., Bro E. Snell ; E.S., P.G. Bro D. Bly th. It was decided to place P.G. Bro W. Johnston's name on the respect board; also to have the twelve emblems of the Order suitably fram«d and displayed in the Lodge room.
