DETAILS OF THE BALLOT. United Press Association — By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. Eeceived Dee 31, 8.50 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 30. In the ballot by the Society of Engineers, 55,000 voted against accepting the employers' proposals, and 1041 in favour of them. There were 4*2,065 against fifty-one hours per week, and 8515 in favour. Received Dec. 31, 10.15 a m. Owing to the engineers' strike in England, llussia has ordered two hundred engines for the new Siberian railway from American firms. Eeceived Dec. 31, 11.25 a.m. The Labour I'ederation has informed the workmen that the truce entered into between the employers and the unions pending the result of the Engineers' conference has ended.
