KINEMATOGRAPH.

A.t the afternoon performance yesterday the lower part of the theatre was crowded to excess. In the evening the house was full in all parts, and the sale of tickets was stopped at an early hour. The large audience was thoroughly pleased with the entertainment, and at the end of the first part of the programme the management reproduced the views which had been encored by the audience. These were "The Sea Cave of Cornwall," " Arrival of Train at Epsom," "Snowballing" and "Cavalry Charge of Russian Heavy Dragoons," the latter being, perhaps, the most realistic life picture ever exhibited in Christchurch. In the scenes depicting the Eecord Eeign procession in London the colonial troops and Premiers were cheered. The martial bearing and perfect dressing of the Life Guards evoked loud applause, while "Little Bobs"— the hero of Candahar — was cheered to the' echo. At the point where the Quefito's carriage halted in the procession three cheers 7?ere given for her Majesty, and the large audience rose and sang " God Save the Queen." At intervals in the exhibition an excellent musical programme was carried out by Miss A. G. Lake, Miss Gray and Messrs A. Millar and P. Hockley, encores being frequent. The humorous speeches and recitations by Mr D. Eyan were highly appreciated, and Mr Bunz's orchestra supplied admirable music.
