A MOEE PROMISING OUTLOOK. THE TRIBESMEN DAUNTED. [Per Piiess Association.! CALCUTTA, August 20. Reports from Peshawar state that the outlook on the Afghan frontier is less disquieting. The tribesmen are daunted by the rapid concentration of troops. Twelve thousand troops have already been concentrated in the, valley of the Swat River, seven thousand five hundred at' the Tochi River, five thousand five hundred at Rawalpindi, and twelve thousand at Kobat and Peshawar. ' Miangula and Miangule, -religious leaders of the Swatis, have submitted. | j CONSTANTINOPLE, . August 19. | The Sultan has disclaimed joining the Ameer in fomenting an insurrection amongst the followers of Islam on the Afghanistan frontier.
