Christ's College Cadets.— The Christ's College Cadets wero inspected by Colonel Gordon at 4.30 p;in. on Wednesday. Major U. V. Richards, instructor, accompanied the inspecting officer. There were fiftythree of all ranks present, under ActingCaptain G. R. Cotterill. After the arms, &c, had been inspected, the following exercises wero performed: — New bayonet drill, under Captain Cotterill ; manual and firing, Lieutenant M. E. Lindsay ; physical drill with arms, Lieutenant M. E. Denniston; and company drill by Captain Cotterill. The inspecting officer expressed himself as well satisfied. He remarked that all the officers and sergeants were appointed in February last, and over half the cadets in the ranks were new. Notwithstanding this, the work had been done without a hitch, and reflected great credit on all concerned. It was one of the best first term inspections made at Christ's College.
