Invicta, the engine which George Stephenson built for the Canterbury and Whitstable Line, and which began running in 1830, is to be removed from tho Ashf ord Avorks of the South-Eastern Eaihvay Company, and placed in a prominent position at Charing Cross Station. The Invicta, Avhich, like Stephenson's No. I engine at Darlington Station, is a cxu'iouslooking object, Avas the pioneer railway engine in Kent. (• ' , Perhaps the strangest wedding trip heard of for some time will be the one which is to be taken by Eobert Schoenbeck and his bride, who were married at Dubuque, loAva, in Febuary last. The groom is a gold miner in Alaska, and the wedding trip will be a journey to Central City, within sixty miles of the Arctic circle. The bridal tour Avill involve thousands of miles of travel over mountains and frozen rivers on sled3, and tho couple do not expect to reach, .their destination until June. i
