THE WELLINGTON REGATTA.
«. [Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Jan. 22. The breeze is well suited for the larger yachts, but is somewhat strong for small boats. Inthe First-class Race the Waitangi pulled up half her handicap in the first quarter of the course, and, favoured by the wind, should win easily. Owing to the small number of vessels at the wharves, the regatta is without the attraction of a flag ship ; the Rotomahana, which was to have done duty, being busy loading.
