Hokse Maiming. — During Monday night another horse was maimed in a most cruel manner. The animal, which is the property ,of Mrs Hannan, was running in a paddock at the corner of Barbaboes Street and the North Belt. Yestei-day morning it was found with an ugly wound about five inches in length in its off shoulder, and another in its off flank, which exposed the intestines. Bir Brown, veterinary surgeon, was called, and stitched up the wounds, but it is doubtful whether tho horse can be saved. Mr Brown expresses the opinion that the cuts were inflicted with a sharp instrument something like a shear blade. Peach stones find a ready market in New York.
