KAIAPOI.
The day was celebrated at Kaiapoi by a / large number of picnic parties. The Guild people in connection with the Church of England went by drags to BifcH Hill: 'The Scotch Church adherents r held a picnic in ••the Kaiapoi Park, and the Salvation Army contingent, accompanied by their band, ■ went to the domain. The We3leyaus held", a monster gathering at Meß. Evans's: farttf at Waverley. They were accompanied by the Kaiapoi Brass Band, and were after^ •wards joined by- a large contingent of -temperance bodies from Christchurch.
