FIND OF MOA BONES.
A discovery of inoa bones was recent-^ made at a place called Okawe, an old Maori camping and feasting placet near the mouth of the Opua River, a few miles to tbe north of Opunake. A sand drift having become scoured away the large bones became exposed. The legbones, backbone, claws, and other parts were in a fair state of preservation. The bones of smaller birds were found in the same place.
