ELECTRIC TRAMS.
Mr James Stewart, C.E., who lias been in London in connection with the proposal of a London syndicate to take over the rights to run electrical tramways in Auckland, returned yesterday by the Mariposa from San Francisco. He states that preliminary arrangements are now completed , for the institution of a. % ram, service by electricity," arid the matter now rests with the company; in . London and its agents in Auckland.' ' . '■'■
