[Peb Press Association.! LONDON, .Oct. 4. [ At Friday's wool sales, "prices were [generally 5 to 'Ii per cent below the July rates. Heavy catalogues of shabby.and _ inferior sorts have weakened values all round, except for bright cross-bred and good bulky scoured merinoes. Up to date, 128,000 bales have been catalogued, of which 114,200 were sold. At yesterday's sales the bidding was quieter and prices were irregular. The chief buyers were English. Elderslie brought 6_d and Owhaoko scoured 13sd. For sheepskins there was fair competition, and good crossbreds showed a £d advance, merinos and lower °rade cross-breds a £d decline.
