The Waihi Central and Cecil Rhodes properties have been taken over by Messrs Sea ver Bros., on behalf ot a Home companj T , the vendors receiving for their interest -£3000 cash and 30,000 shares fully paid up to £1. The new company is to have a capital of ,£150,000, of which .£30,000 is to be set apart as working capital. The directors of the Moa Gold-mining Company have accepted an offer to iloat their property on the following terms : — Fourteen days to be allowed for inspection, the sum of .£2OO (forfeitable), to be paid on Oct. 17, option to be then given for four months, purchasers to man the ground during that time. At the completion of flotation the present holders to get 25,000 shares in a company of .£IOO,OOO in £1 shares, and .£2OOO cash, working capital to ba provided. The amount realised by the sale of the gold from last month's crushing of tho Victoria Gold-mining Company, 115 loads of quartz, is .£852 13s 9d. ' BLENHEIM, Oct. 3. The mine manager at Wakamarina Gorge reports that the damage caused by the late Hood has been repaired, and the gravel carried into the paddock has been removed. The paddock has also been carried down a further distance of two feet through the boulder formation. The indications are said to be excellent, and the bottom cannot be far off . V/ESTPOKT, Oct. 4.
