Boiling over roadways Swift as bi d on wiug Early in the morning; This is just the thing ! Hearing matin music Prom each dewy spray; Old Sol, in the meantime, Ushers in the day. Skimming o'er the p<J*ement, Shooting through the park, Viewing pretty flowers — Isn'titalark ? Haven't any lantern, light 'begins to fail ; Copper will am-st and Kun us into jail ! Speeding, swiftly speeding, Go the racers gay, Bending nearly double As they dash away. All the people shouting, Wonder on each face, Try to pick the winuer In the great road race. Papa and his baby, Darling little boy, Wlnstte tuneful ditties— Life is full of joy. Fa\;a works the pedals, Baby rides before j Papa soon i- tired. Baby cries for more. Gentleman just learning Seems a little rash ; Steers into a hydrant With on ugly crash I Pulls himself together, hot inclined to talk ; "While the rest are looking Thinks he'd rather walk. Gentleman in trousers Cut decollete, Sees a maid in bloomers Jusr across the wtty. Tldnks that he will charm her By his ense and grace;' Fiuds she's fully fifty . "Wneu he sees her t'aeo. With immense exertion Mr Adipose, Fillirg half tho highway, Sweating, puffing, goes. Morning, noon, and evening finds him on the spin. Happy in the thought that lie is getting ihin. Stream and vale and mountain Fasciuute the si;,'ht ; Nature's many beauties Are the cyclist's right. Splen .our of ihe sunset " . ■ In the evening sky, .■';■■ .. , ..
