SKIN SALES. A better tone was manifested in the market at yesterday's sales of skins, hides, fat, &c. Butchers' best cross-breds brought from 5s 6d to 6s 5d and .up to 6s. -lid and 7s 6dfor exceptional, medium do 4s 6d to 5s 3d, butchers' best merinoes 4s *6d to 5s 2d, medium 'do 3s to 3s 9d, fat fd to lgd. GERALDINE. The Geraldine fortnightly live stock sale was well attended yesterday, and the entries were up to the mark. Prices, however, showed a drop compared with those of last sale day. In sheep the entry was fair, and the prices obtained were: — Three-quarter-bred hoggets 10s to 10s 9d, halfbred hoggets 7s to 8s 9d, fat ewes 11s to 11s 9d, cross-bred ewes in lamb 9s to 11s forward two and four-tooth wethers 13s to 14s, two-tooths 10s 6d to 12s. In pigs there was a better entry than at the previous fair, but prices were not quite as high. Weaners brought Is 6d to 3s Gd, stores 10s to 12s. There was a good demand for decent small stores. In cattle there was a moderate entry. Steers brought from £A to .£5 10s.
