["Per Press Association/I DTJNEDIN, Sept. 9. • During the passage of the barque Dilpussand, which arrived from New York to-day, a casualty occurred after she left Pernambuco, where she had put in to have repairs effected, damage having been caused by a gale and heavy sea. 'On August 6, during a heavy gale, Carl Anderson, a stowaway from Pernambuco, -was washed overboard. A life-buoy was thrown, a watch kept and the ship hauled, but the man appeared to have sunk at once. ■
