NORTH CANTERBURY CRICKET ASSOCIATION. The 'annual meeting of this Association ■was held at the Corn Exchange, Raugiora, yesterday afternoon. The following delegates were, present: — Ranpiora, Rev F. P. Fendall and Mr A. S. Clarkson; Cust, Messrs E. Slun'den and E. Cooper ; Woodend, Messrs^ Judson and 1). 0. Shilton; Amberley, .Dr Fitzhenry rind 'Mr R. Woraall; Kaiapoi, Messrs J. L. Wilson and J. Brown; Kowai, Messrs J. and F. Banks. Mr R Blunden was votod to the chair. Tho balance-sheet adopted showed receipts «£<i 10s 2d and expenditure 10s 2d. The assets were 3tated to bo .£5 and the liabilities nil. The Kowai Club was ad- j rnitted to the Association. ,Mr Wornall moved that two extra men should be allowed to the Kowai Club for the first round,- the second round to bo left to the option of the Selection Committee. Clarkson was re-eleotd& secretary and treasurer, and he was voted an honorarium of £2 2s for past services. ■ A concession to start matches at 1.30 p.m. was granted to the Kaiapoi Club and to th.d RJingiora Second Eleven. , The opening day was fixed for the first Saturday in October, and Dr Fitzhenry and Mr Wornall were- empowered to draw up the first round of Cup matches. The arrangement of Thursday matches was def erred to the next meeting, to be held on Sept. 29. The meeting then closed. AMBERLEY CLUB. The annual meeting of the Amberley Cricket Club was held at Amberley last Saturday, Dr Fitzhenry, vice-president, in the chair. The annual report and balancesheet were read and adopted. The following officers were elected :— President, Mr F. Courage ; captain, Dr Fitzhenry; deputy-captain, Mr C. B. Mason; secretary, *Mr F. Adams ; treasurer, Mr R. Wornall. Dr Fitzhenry and Mr R. Wornall were appointed delegates to the •North Canterbury Cricket Association. Dr Fitzhenry's bat for the best batting average was won by F. Adams with an average of thirty-one. C. B. Mason was first in bowling, with an average of five runs per wicket. It was arranged to open the season on Thursday, Sept. 10, also to enter a team for the North Canterbury Cricket Association Cup.
