JJBAttie.— ln memory of John Beattie, of Cust, who died ou August 29, 1891. Cold Death has entered our homo of Lore, And taken away our father dear; Hefoll in handis of dreadful woe, Of which he bore m pain. God called him home to Heaven above, For ever to remain, And we do trust to His srreat power, •lo meet dear Fnther once again. Inserted by Ms wife aud family. Two years to-day, and who can tell, How anxiou-ly we stood Be ide our darling- mother's bed, To keep her if we could. Do not ask us if we miss her, • There is such a vacant place ; C?»n we forget our darliug mother, Aad that dear face ? O)der hearts may have their sorrow, Griefs may quickly /ade away, But our mother has gone from us. Grieves our hearts from day to day. Inserted by her loving children.
