If ational Association. — A well-attended meeting of the Council of the National Association was held at Morten's Buildings on Wednesday evening, the President, Mr W. Jacques, in the chair. A large number of new members were elected, and important correspondence was received from several of the branches in Canterbury. Eeports were made by several of the sub-com-mittees, and arrangements made for the ladies' meeting to be held next Thursday.
