Sydenhabt Gymnasium.— The Sydenham ! gymnasium-, which has been closed for some time, was reopened last night. There was an- attendance of about eightypersons. The Kev W. J. Parsonson and Mr G. T. Booth congratulated' Messrs T. H. Harkev and J. Dennison on the enterprise they had shown in reopening the o-yninasium. Messrs Harker, Jewiss, Page, Munday, Biekerton and Errington gave performances ou the Roman rings and parallel bars, and with dumb-bells and clubs, and Messrs Harker and Dennison wave an exhibition of boxing. It is intended to open the gymnasium on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from halfpast seven to ten, and arrangements aro being made to form an Amateur Gymnastic Clubt It is also proposed to form a ladies' class.
