LAND SALES. Farms in the Banks Peninsula district have been changing hands lately at enhanced values. There was a large attendance, and taken all round, prices were fully up to those ruling at Addington oh Wednesday, lines fit for freezing meeting a very good enquiry. In fact, so eager were buyers of this olass that a number of sales were made privately before the. .auction commenced. Amongst the auction sales of this class were a nice line from the Racecourse Hill Estate of cross-bred wethers at 14s 10d; the Bangor Estate wethers at 14s 4d ; and Mr T. Boulton's mixed sexes at 13s 4d. Amongst the best lines of freezing lambs . were those of Mr J. Beattie, which brought 12s Id, and Mr Ambrose Beattie's, which realised lls 6d. . Good turnip sheep were in demand. Wethers of this class sold freely at from 9s 6d to lls 9d. Breeding ewes brought from 4s 9d to 8s 2d, according to age and condition ; freezing wethers 13s 6d to 14s lOd, and lambs for export 9s to 12s Id. Store lambs at from 6s to 8s for good healthy lines, and from 2s <3d to 5s 6d for inferior to medium sorts. Merino wethers 5s 6d.
