THE LAST DAY. [Per Press Association.! OAMARU, March 20. There is lovely weather for the concluding day, but there is a fresh breeze from the left. Only eleven teams entered for the Companies Teams Match, and consequently the prize money was reduced from .£l5O to <£50. Those winning ,£lO and . over are : — Rule (Oamaru) 41, Wakelin (Christchurch) " 38, M'Gregor (Oamaru) 24, Howe (Wellington) 20, Wilson (Woodville) 18, Ross (Victoria) 16, White (Oamaru) and Shelton (Bluff) 15, Wilkie (Upper Hutt) and Kirk (Petone) 14, Moodie and Todd (Queensland) 13, Bradley (Queensland) and Steadman (Whangarei) 12, Doughty (Auckland), Winterford (Queensland), Woollett (Dunedin), Jack (Dunedin), Jackson (Christchurch), Kempshall (Dunedin), Scott (Christchurch), Wilmott (Queensland), and Winterford (Queensland) 11, Parsons (Kaikoura) and Hollard (Petone) 10. Of 254 competitors, 181 have taken money prizes, the money being distributed as follows : — Otago and Southland (including .£123 by Oamaru) Canterbury .£167, Wellington, Wairarapa and Queensland .£94, Victoria .£SO, Hawke's Bay and Auckland .£43, Wanganui and Taranaki .£29, New South Wales .£27, South Australia .£9 and Nelson .£6. Total .£903. At 200 yds Craigie (Southland) got on 49 and Scott (Christchurch) 48. At 500 yds M'Farlane (Christchurch) and Manson (Little River) each Scored 48: Jack (Dunedin) scoi'ed six bull's-eyes, and then put a bull on the wrong target, winding up with three other bulls. The mistake lost him the first prize. The wind was steady from the left. In the Teams Match the 500 yds is finished, and with two ranges completed the scores are :— Woodville 329, Petone ,322, Dunedin Guards 322, Oamaru No. 1 321, Dunedin Club 318, Queensland 317, Christchurch Reserve No. 1 311, A Battery 307, Wanganui Rifles 306, Christchurch Reserve No. 2 306, Oamaru No. 2 300. Rule, Oamaru, made the possible^ while Proudfoot (Dunedin), M'Farlane and M'Kay (Christchurch), G. Loveday and Wilson (Woodville), and Bradley had one within the possible. The Bronze Medal Match was fired simultaneously with the Teams Match. It is open to winners of the bronze medal of the New Zealand Association, te,n shots, 200 and 500 yds. The chief prize-takers are Manson (Fort Victoria) .£3 and silver medal, 96 ; W. Ballinger (Wellington) .£4, 93 ; G.JLoveday (Woodville) £3, 93 ; Jack (Dunedin) 93, M'Farlane (Christchurch) and Robinson (Upper Hutt) 92, J.- Armstrong (Dunedin) 91, .£2 each. Counted out — King (Oamaru). The amount received for sighting-shots exceeds the total of the last meeting by .£4O. In the Companies' Teams Match the following was the position at the close of the 200 yds range :— Woodville Rifle Club 169, Queensland A Company 164, Dunedin Guards 163, Petone Rifle Club 163, Oamaru Rifle Club 162, Dunedin Rifle Club 160, Wanganui Rifles 159, A Battery (Auckland) 159, Christchurch Reserves 154, Christchurch Reserves (No. 2) 151, and Oamaru Rifle Club (No. 2) 150. Doughty (A Battery) and Bradley (Queensland) each made the possible at this range. The amount won by Wellington and Wairarapa was .£154 ; Hawke's Bay .£54. The following is the result of the Teams Match, 200, 500 and 600 yards, seven shots : — Woodville, ,£2O, 484. Petone, .£ls, 472. Queensland, .£lO, 466. Dunedin Guards, £5, 460. Oamaru, No. 1, 457. Christchurch Reserve, No. 1, 453. Dunedin .Rifle Club, 448. Wanganui Rifles, 443. A Battery, 436. Christchurch Reserve, No. 2, 431. Oamaru No. 2, 419. The Woodville team shot wonderfully throughout, and the score is a world's record. The men averaged 97 out of 105 per man. The team scored 73 bull's-eyes, 24 inners, 7 magpies, and 1 outer. Ingpen, of the winners, was the highest individual scorer in the mach, with 101 out of 105 ; M'Gregor, Oamaru, 100. The members of the Reserve Corps team, Christchurch, who won the Champion Teams Match, fired off to-day to decide as to the winner of the binoculars presented by the Government. Volunteer Banks won with 33 out of 35. The other scores were:— M'Kay 30, Wakelin 26, Scott 24, M'Farlane 21. The ties for the eighth, ninth and tenth places in the championship were fired this afternoon, five shots, 700 yds. Todd, of Victoria, was absent. Result : Simpson 17, Wilkie 10, Williams 9, M'Pherson 9. The two last-mentioned fired off, Williams gaining tenth place.
