POLITICAL.
[Pee Press Association.] DUNEDIN, March 19. Mr D. Pinkerton, M.H.E., addressed his constituents this evening. While according a strong general support to the Government, he criticised some matters of administration freely. He expressed disapproval of the recent additions to the Cabinet. While speaking in the highest terms of Mr W. Hall-Jones's character and ability, he said that he could not understand his appointment. Mr Jones had been a supporter of Sir Robert Stout, and either he had changed his views to take office or the Government had changed in taking him in. A vote hf thanks and confidence was declared carried.
