At a meeting of the committee of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Club, it was reported that Messrs Davie, Jones, Creamer, Martin, Boberts, W. W. Pilkington, M'Kean and M. O'Connor had intimated that they could obtain the necessary leave of absence to represent the club at the championship meeting at Christohurch. Messrs F. E. N. Gaudin and B. Oliphant had been unable to obtain leave. The following were chosen to represent the olub at the meeting :— A. Jones, A. A. Davies, F. H. Creamer, T. Boberts, W. H. Martin, Wi W. Pilkington, E. Beynolds, A. Brady, T. B. O'Connor, J; A. Callender and Q. B. Beere. It is doubtful whether Beynolds, Brady, T. B. O'Connor, Callender and Beere will be able to obtain the necessary leave.;, It waa decided to ask J. M'Kean and M. O'Connor to run a test race over one of the distance events, the runnero to choose their individual distance.
