I PBESIDENT'S HANDICAP, of 150 soys. One mile and a quarter. Marino, 7st 121 b (Derrett) 1 Saracen, Bst 121 b (Cochrane) 2 Maremma ... ... (Buddicombe) 3 Marino and Saracen showed in front, the latter being steadied in passing the stand, Barmby lying last* Marino was never headed, . winning comfortably by a little over a length, half a length between second and third, Silver Spec, a head away, fourth, Barmby pulling up. Time — 2min 3sec. Dividends— £s 16s and £2 10s. NOVEL EACE HANDICAP, of 60 soys. Six furlongs. Claremont, 7sfc 41b , 1 Lady Somns, 7st l3lb' , ... ' ... 2 Swivel, Bst slb 3 Won by a nose, after a desperate finish. Time—lmin 20sec. Dividend— £4 10s. GLASGOW PLATE, of 200 soys. Eive furlongs. St Clements, 9st lib , 1 StOuida,6stßlb 2 Gipsy Grand 3 Gipsy Grand, who got all the worst of the start, was badly blocked at the distance when trying to creep up on the inside. Time—lmin 4sec.
