Sunday School Teachers' Association.
i A meeting of those interested in Sunday i school work in connection with the Church of England was held last evening at St | Michael's schoolroom. There waff a good attendance, and his Lordship the Bishop of Christchuroh presided. The Bey A. W. Averill read the recommendations of the committee appointed at the previous meet' ing to draw up rules, &c. After some discussion the constitution was adopted, as follows :— Objeotß— To promote a high sense of the responsibilities attaching to the office and work of a Sunday school teacher; to stimulate and encourage thoße engaged in the religious education of the young; to improve the methods of instruction and the discipline and management of schools;to establish classes for the training of teachers and catechists. MemberBhip, &c. — All clergymen, superintendents and teachers of Sunday schools and those wishing to qualify as teaohers, who subscribe not less than la a year, and all other persons who subscribe not less than 5b ehall be members. The affairs of the Association shall be managed by a committee consisting of the Biehop, as exofficio president, | a treasurer, secretary and seven members, I to be elected by the members at the annual meeting. The Association to meet quarterly, or oftener, as the committee shall determine, and the annual meeting to be held in the month of November. The following officers were elected:— Honorary treasurer, Mr W. G. Brittan; honorary secretary. Sev J. F. Teakle; committee, Sister Edith, Mr 8 E. A. Scott, Bey H. Williams, Meßsrs E. J. Boss, C. A. C. Hardy, F. George and H. E. Vincent. After some further discussion the meeting was closed with the Benediotion.
