The Late Mbs Stbuthebs. — The funeral of the late Mis E. Struthers took place yesterday afternoon at the Public Cemetery, Linwood, and a large concourse of people was present. Oeangeism. — Tbe monthly meeting of No. 2 Purple Star Lodge, L.0.L., wbb held in the Orange Hall last night, W.M. Bro C. Cooper presiding. There was a large attendance, including the G.M. Bro Tollerton, P.D.M/a Bros Diffln, Caygill and 0. R. Taylor and D.M. Bro H. Simpson. A large amount of correspondence was received and dealt with. The Lodge Committee brought up a report regarding unfinancial members, and the matter was held over for further consideration. The G.M., Bro Tollerton, conducted the election of officers, which, resulted as follows : — W.M., Bro H. Skinner; D.M., BroW. Bultitude; secretary, Bro W. Bailey (re-elected) } treasurer, Bro W. White (re-elected); chaplain, Bro Martin; auditors, Bros J. Hanna and J. M. Douglasß ; tfler, Bro Pepper; committee, Bros Hanna, Taylor, Diffln, Hampton and Cunningham) deacons, Bros Diffia and Hanna; vigilance committee, 'the officers elect. Votes of thanks were passed to the Grand Master, officers and visitors. The Lodge then adjourned to the refectory, where a pleasant hour was spent. A vote of thanks to the Chairman brought a pleasant meeting to a cloße.
