The Auckland footballers arrived in Christohuroh from Dunedin by the express train last evening, and were met by a large number of Canterbury enthusiasts The teaui were driven to the Clarendon Hotel, where tbey will locate during their stay in Chrietchurch. Payton, Edwards, Palerhorpe, Eemby and M'Ara scored tries, one of whioh Haleß converted, while Haleß also kioked a penalty goal. The scoring was done in the second spell.
