[Special to Pbzbs Association.! MELBOUENE, August 26. Vanitas has been soratched for the Caulfield Cup. [Peb Pbess Association.] WELLINGTON, August 26. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Bacing Club there was a large attendance. Mr Bell, M.H.8., who presided, congratulated the club on its aound financial position. Members eulogised the work of the Seoretary, Mr H. M. Lyon. Meßsra E. Pearce and T. G. M'Carthy were re-elected vice-presidents, Mr C. H. Scales was reelected judge and Mr R. Grace was reelected timekeeper. Mr John M'Ginnity declined to stand again for the treasurership, and Mr F. Franklyn, ons of the former stewards, was appointed to the position. Dr Purdy was appointed honorary surgeon. The following stewards were elected^— Messrs J. B. Harcourt, G. H. Harbroe, W. E. Bidwell, C. P. Skerrett, J. Ames, John Duncan (all re-elected), and Joseph Saunders. The meeting was a very pleasant one, and the report and balancesheet, particulars of which have already been telegraphed, were passed almost without comment. TIMABU, August 26. Moderation 7st 131 b was omitted from the list of weights for the High-weight Handicap telegraphed yeaterday. Nominations for the Christohuroh Hunt Club's Point to Point Steeplechase clobo to-day at the office of the Canterbnry Jockey Club.
