Till Eobbsbt. — Frederick William Herndge. on remand, was charged with having stolen two sixpences and three threepenny piecea from the till of the Boyal Hotel, Woodend, the property of James Stevenson, the theft being com. 1 mitfced on August 1. Accused admitted the ! accused had been suspected of P*wj°w thefts, and marked money was placed m 1 the till. Accused was aentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment with hard labour.
