After the flag fell J. 0.1. took command and led over the first fence. At the bask «f the oourae in the firat round Floater fell, and shortly after Knebsworth, Spanker and Battoro came down. Passing the •tand the second time Daimio had a strong •ad from Moondah and Timona. The lastaamed came to grief in the last roind Daimio came to the home turn in a canter, and won easily by five lengths from Dart. Time— 6min 45iieo. At a meeting of members of the Victoria Baring Club, held to consider the Totalisator Bill, a large majority of the committee and members expressed themselves strongly in favour of the machine.
