[Spzcial to Press Association.] j LONDON, July 14. . j The American wheat markets are recovering after a sharp decline. The i English and Continental markets aro ; | zaoviog in eympathy with the American j markets. * j Cargoes of Victorian wheat have been j sold as follows :— Ex barque Mandalay, j 243 7*d j ex ahip3 King David and Boadicea, 23a Bd. It is estimated that the English wheat crop will be two million quarters below last season. The total quantity of wool catalogued up to yesterday was 166,000 bales, of which 158,000 bales have been sold. For good sections of greasy and fine combings the bidj ding was spirited, and prices remained unchanged. American representatives made large purchases. At to-day's sales a large : catalogue was offered, and competition wae ! spirited, prices being well maintained. j At the tallow Bale, owing to the poor ' demand, holders withdrew all the stocks ! advertised for sale. Price 3 have nominally declined threepence. Melbourne butter, factory made, is quoted at 90s.
