The Gothic's beef is bringing s*d to s|d per lb. Many experts examined it and consider it a great success. The temperature was maintained at 28 degrees to Tenerifle, and after that at 27 degrees. Mr Borthwick considered the experiment an undoubted success, whioh Bhows that the Australian meat trade is certain to be established. The Chamber of Commerce has decided to recommend the insertion of a clause in bills of lading attaching a penalty for delay in discharging cargoes in London after a fortnight from the date of arrival. This is in consequence of complaints of great damage occasioned to the Australian trade by persistent delay in discharging cargoes. '
