[Per Pbess Association.] DUNEDIN, June 10. The Otago Typographical Association nas resolved that owing to the large number of unemployed compositors throughout the colony, the Government and private employers bo urped to abolish the system of overtime.
UNEMPLOYED IN LINWOOD. The Mayor of Linwood, who desires to know the number of men m want of employment in his district, would be glad H all auch would register their nnmea at the local Borough Council Chambers immediately.
At the meeting of the Avon Road Board to-day the sum of .£IOO was voted to find work for the unemployed, provided that the amount is subsidised by another JJIOO from the Governments
