BURGLARIES.

About two o'clock on Saturday morning burglars visitGd Mr C. Sycamore's shop, in Kilmore Street east. Mr Sycamore, who lives at tbe back of his shop, was awakened by hearing someone outside his premises, and upon going into the Bhop he found that a pane of glass had been cut of one of the windows. He missed a quantity of tobacco, cigarettes and other articles, valued at about £2, but no money had been taken.

Late on Friday night or early on Saturday morning, Mr J. Broadley's shop, at the corner of the North-east Belt and London Streeb, Eichmond, was visited, but the burglars were evidently disturbed before getting much booty. They broke a large pane of glass in a window in the shop, but obtained only a few cigarettes and some small groceries. The police are reticent about giving particulars of the burglaries, but there can be no doubt that a gang of men of the undesirable class are at present plying their nefarious calling in the city and suburbs.
