The ship Aberfoyle haa arrived hero safely. The crew report that bub for the timely appearance of the steamer Tagliaferro the vessel would have been wrecked. Captain Robertson had been drinkincj heavily before the mate was washed overboard, and after this event occurred he drank half a pint of carbolic acid, from tho effects of which ho died.
