Licensing. Committees. AVON.
The annual meeting of the Avon Licensing Committee was held at noon to-day at the Linwood Borough Council Office; present — Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M. (chairman), Messrs T. N. Horsley, I. H. Pentecost, Joseph Taylor, J. T. Smith, W. Crowo and T. E. Fraser.
The temporary transfer of the publican's license of the New Brighton Hotel from Henry Bates to Jamea Murray, for whom Mr Fuller appeared, was confirmed.
There being no objections the following renewals of licenses were granted : — Eliza M. P. Post, Wharf Hotel, Woolston; H. _?. Busbridge, Heathcote Arms Hotel ; G. H. Pearce, Bower Hotel, New Brighton j W. H. Clabburn, Junction Hotel, Ohoka j James Murray, New Brighton Hotel.
This concluded the business.
