Betting at the start cf the Derby was 9 to 1 agßt Sir Visto, 100 to 8 Kirkoonnel, 33 to 1 Curzon, 100 to 15 La Veno.
Beokhampton, who ran fourth, led the field into the straight, when Sir Visto made his effort and won by three-quarters of a length. It was an unexpected vic-tory,-and the crowd loudly cheered Lord Eoßebery aa he led the winner back to the saddling enclosure.
The Princa of Wales conducted Masrullah Kban to the course.
