THE PREMIER.
A well-attended meeting was held at Wellington- last night to consider the question of making a presentation to the Hon -K. J. Seddon on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday, on June 22. The proposal was taken up with great heartiness. A draft address was submitted and approved, and it was decided to have it engrossed in the same form as that presented to Sir George Grey on his eightieth birthday. The signatures which will be obtained to the address will be bound in an album, the covers of which it is proposed shall be made of New Zealand woods, and it is probable that the presentation -will be made at a public meeting called for the occasion.
