ROBBERY AT A NATIVE MEETING.
A telegram from Auckland saya that the Native meeting at Mauugakaroa is now over, ending in a rather sensational manner by the exchequer being robbed of .£l7B. Bawhiti, editor of the Maori paper, had that amount in gold, together with .£SO in notes, in a strong box, -vhich was broken open, the gold extracted and the notes left.
