CANTERBURY RUGBY UNION. , A. meeting o£ the committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union, was held at the Clarendon Hotel laßt evening; present— Dr Jennings (in the chair), Messrs L. A; Cuff, F. T. Garrard. i The Secretary reported that Mr Frost had given notice to move at the next general meeting— " That the representative colours Bhall be red and black jersey, C.R.U. monogram on the left breast of tne jersey, white knickerbockers and representative cap, such monogram and cap to be presented by the Canterbury Rugby Unton to those gaining representative honours." The Secretary^ action in granting permission to the East Christchurch Second Fifteen to play New Brighton on Saturday next Mraß approved. On the application of the Kaiapoi Club J. Horsfall was reinstated as a President's Cap player. A letter was read from the Lyttelton Club, applying for the reinstatement of Berry and Kiddey as President's Cup players. After discussion it was resolved that the application should be granted without prejudice. The transfer of seven members of the Lyttelton Club to the East Christchurch Club was agreed to. Mr Garrard gave notice to move at the next general meeting — " That the Selection Committee be elected by delegates from the senior clubs only." The grounds and referees for the senior matches on Saturday were arranged as under :— Kaiapoi v. Merivale, at Lancaster Park ; referee, Mr Cotterill. East Christchurch v. Sydenham, at Lancaster Park; referee, Mr Evans. Christchurch v. Canterbury College, at Sydenham Park; referee, Mr Collins; Linwood v. North Canterbury, at Rangiora; referee, Mr Soper. The meeting then closed. The following will represent the United Drapers against Linwood on Thursday at 3 p.m. at North Park — Huroomb, Voyce, Wilkinson, Eebden, Ryburn, Vangioni, Annin, Wade, Hunter, G. Thompson, Allen, Allieon, Bowker, Nicholson and Donohue; emergencies — Kennedy and Morgan. -
