Assessment Court.

Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., sat at the Eiccarton Boad Board office yesterday to hear objections to the assessments. .

The following reductions were made : — Thomas Breen, £800 to £720 and £200 to £180; Highsted's trustees, £890 to £760 and £230 to £160; H. J. Derrett, £156 to £140; T. Poster, £760 to £700, £490 to £430 and £130 to £115; W. Griffiths, £250 to £225; T. Griffiths, £1050 to £1000 ; G. Hawkins, £460 to '£425 ; J. Johnß, £5000 to £4036; M'llroy, £550 to £500; G. W. Trounce, £900 to £830. Several alterations in ownership and occupancy, &c, were made at the request of the valuer, and the roll was signed by the Magistrate.
