Hunting. -r .On Saturday the Chriatohurch houtfdß met at Mr Overton's. The weather was delightful from a hunting «s well as from a spectator's point of view. It in not surprising, therefore, that the attendance was extremely large. Shortly aftar 2.80 p.m. the hounds were thrown off in a stubble paddock &t the bick of the house. A hare was immediately found, and after a run over Borne grand country towards Islington, was killed just beyond the old Waimakariri river-bed. The hounds were then taken back to Mr Overtone, where, after a short rest, they again found. A particularly fast run ensued, and only because erenin? was approaching were the hounds whipped off.— The meet of the Brackenfield hound 3 on Saturday was at Mr E. Mulcock's farm, Flaxf on.
