LOCAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Footballers again experienced beautiful weather on Saturday. At Lancaster Park two interesting senior games were played, Merivale beating Canterbury College by fifteen points to seven, and Christchuroh defeating North Canterbury by fifteen points to ten. At Sydenham Park Linwood had no difficulty in defeating Sydenham by thirty points to five, and at Kaiapoi the local team completely routed Eaßt Ghrist- | church by thirty-seven points to nothing.
