VITICULTURE.
S : gnor Brogato, accompanied by Mr Blackmore, visited the Nelson and Motueka districts a few dayß ago, and found both eminently suitable foe the cultivation of vines. Masterton and Taradale are considered by the Victorian expert to ' be the home of the vine, and he speaks in very high terms of Mr Baetham's vineyard, which he considers a model. Ha states that he ia quite -confident that both Mr B-etham and Mr Tiffen will be able Boon to bring before the market wine which will have-nothing to envy in the wine of the mosb celebrated vineyards of the world.
